In August of 2006, residents of Trickey Pond decided that their pond needed a group dedicated to protecting her waters and wildlife from the dangers of pollution, runoff and invasive plant species that threaten lakes throughout the region. These dedicated friends formed the Trickey Pond Environmental Protection Association with the goal of protecting Trickey Pond's pristine environment through education, water tests, boat ramp inspectors, and loon protection services.

Today, the organization has grown to include local business members and part-time residents who love Trickey Pond. The organization is run by a Board of Directors, and has no shareholders or external members.
